Memory Monday! This is a great one to start off your day by having the students share something that happened over the weekend! Students are usually quite chatty Monday bonding as they want to share what happened over the weekend with their peers. This allows them to share something exciting that happened and reduce the chatter over your morning lesson, while also connecting with your students by checking in and seeing how their weekend was.
Sometimes I will write it on the whiteboard and have the students add to the wall as they come into class and then discuss, or I will include it in my working slides and have volunteers share!
